OSP reviews Paul Adom-Otchere’s bail conditions [Listen]

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has revised the bail conditions for former Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) Board Chairman, Paul Adom-Otchere.

His lawyer, Apraku Agyepong, confirmed the development in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, explaining that the review followed extensive deliberations with the OSP.

Mr. Adom-Otchere had been granted bail on Thursday after being questioned over a revenue assurance audit contract but remained in custody as he could not meet the initial requirements, which demanded two landed properties registered in his name as sureties.

With the revision, however, the broadcaster will now need only one landed property guaranteed by someone, instead of two.

Mr. Agyepong added that another condition, which required two sureties—one not below the level of a principal—has also been waived.

“He is also required to report at the OSP once a week and inform them before any trip outside the country. But regarding the submission of his travel documents, we are yet to have any discussions on that,” the lawyer explained.
