Tensions are mounting between singer Mr Drew and music duo DopeNation over claims that the duo played a role in the success of one of Mr Drew’s hit songs but were never acknowledged.
In a recent interview, DopeNation alleged that Mr Drew failed to credit them for contributing to the writing of a song that later became a major hit.
But the comment didn’t sit well with Mr Drew, who has responded sharply, describing the remarks as “unnecessary and disrespectful.”
“They could’ve done their interview without dragging my name into it,” he said, accusing the duo of being petty and likening their behavior to “lame guys throwing tantrums.”
The singer warned that he will not tolerate any attempts to discredit or undermine his brand.
DopeNation has yet to respond, but with tensions flaring, this may not be the end of the exchange.
