The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has officially announced that the 2025 edition of the Top 4 tournament will be staged at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi from August 20 to 24.
This year’s competition will feature Bibiani Gold Stars, the newly crowned Ghana Premier League champions; FA Cup winners Asante Kotoko; Hearts of Oak; and Heart of Lions.
Designed as a key pre-season tournament, the Top 4 is expected to offer participating teams a competitive platform to fine-tune preparations ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign.
GHALCA is yet to finalise the tournament format but has confirmed that consultations are ongoing to adopt a structure that will ensure a worthy winner emerges.
For Bibiani Gold Stars and Asante Kotoko, who will represent Ghana in CAF inter-club competitions later this year, the tournament provides a crucial test of readiness.
It also gives coaches the opportunity to assess their squads, experiment with tactics, and build momentum heading into a demanding season.
