Hearts of Oak’s success will aid my recovery – Sabahn Quaye

Former Hearts of Oak Team Manager, Sabahn Quaye, has spoken of his deep emotional bond with the club, revealing that the team’s success would play a significant role in his recovery.

Quaye, who also served as Team Manager for Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, has been battling illness in recent months.

Speaking in an interview on Fire for Fire on Adom TV, Quaye admitted that his personal well-being is closely tied to the fortunes of the Phobians.

“If Hearts of Oak performs well while everything is going on well at the top, I will be healed — and that’s how much this club means to me,” he declared.

His comments come as Hearts of Oak begins a new chapter under newly appointed head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.

The former assistant coach of the Black Stars and ex-Asante Kotoko boss has been tasked with reviving the club’s fortunes ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, following a disappointing, trophyless campaign last term.
