Preparations underway for Ablekuma North rerun [Video]

Preparations are underway for the crucial rerun in 19 polling stations within the Ablekuma North constituency today, July 11.

The rerun seeks to resolve months of electoral dispute and restore representation to a constituency that has remained without a Member of Parliament since December 2024.

During visits to several of the 19 polling stations involved in the rerun, Adom News reporters observed that election materials had already been delivered.

Electoral officers were present at the stations, actively organizing materials to ensure a smooth and orderly voting process.

At the Lord Pentecostal Church polling station in Kwashie-Bu—where preparations were far advanced—Presiding Officer Manasseh Lawer promised a prompt 7:00 a.m. start to voting.

Speaking to Adom News’ Prince Owusu Asiedu, he assured the public of the EC’s commitment to a smooth and transparent process.

Meanwhile, police personnel were already present at some polling stations to monitor the proceedings.

The Electoral Commission remains confident that the process will proceed without disruptions.
