Ghana’s U-20 national team coach, Desmond Ofei, says his side is fully motivated and eager to make a strong impression as they prepare to face Nigeria in the opening match of the 2025 WAFU U-20 Championship.
The much-anticipated clash between the Black Satellites and the Flying Eagles is set to take place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Addressing the media ahead of the showdown, Ofei emphasised the importance of starting the tournament on a positive note, describing the fixture as a pivotal moment for his team.
“The first game against Nigeria will set the tone for how this tournament will go,” he stated. “But we are ready. We know how good they are, and we know how incredibly hungry they are as a squad. But we will be ready for them.”
The match is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
