Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has expressed his delight after extending his stay at Premier League side AFC Bournemouth with a new contract running until 2030.
The 25-year-old, who joined the Cherries from Bristol City in 2023, has quickly established himself as a key figure at the club.
His impressive form during the 2024/25 season saw him score 13 goals and register seven assists across 42 appearances in all competitions, helping Bournemouth secure a commendable 9th-place finish in the league.
Reacting to the new deal, Semenyo said he is thrilled to commit his future to the club.
“I’ve grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch, and I’m really happy to have signed ahead of returning for pre-season,” Semenyo said.
“From the fans to the staff and my teammates, I can’t speak highly enough of the people around the club.
“It’s a great place to be, and I’m excited to get back to Bournemouth and continue the hard work with the new season just around the corner,” the former Bristol City attacker added.
Semenyo’s outstanding performances had reportedly attracted interest from top Premier League sides including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, but the Ghana international has opted to remain at the Vitality Stadium, committing his long-term future to Andoni Iraola’s side.
