Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani GoldStars, Akwasi Adu, has set an ambitious target for the club as they gear up for their debut appearance in the CAF Champions League.

The Miners secured their historic qualification after clinching the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title — their first-ever league triumph.

In an interview with Akoma FM, Mr. Adu emphasized that the club is not participating just to make up the numbers, but to make a real impact in the competition.

“Looking at the structure of the CAF competition, it starts with the preliminary rounds, then moves to the group stage, and afterwards the quarterfinals and semifinals,” he told Akoma FM.

“For us, the most important target is to qualify for the group stage. That’s where clubs begin to gain real experience and prepare themselves for the tougher challenges ahead.

“Our goal is not just to be in the competition; we want to compete, win matches, and progress. Making it to the group stage will be a big achievement, and we’re working hard to make that happen,” he added.

To improve their readiness, Bibiani GoldStars will feature in the 2025 GHALCA Top 4 tournament, which kicks off on August 1.
