It is the responsibility of New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency executive members to unite and organise in order to build a strong foundation for the party.

They must put in more effort to drop their egos, personal behaviours, and work together to prepare the party for the challenge ahead in 2028.

Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, former NPP Chairman for Afigya Kwabre South Constituency, made these remarks while addressing the NPP Constituency Chairmen Caucus in Kumasi. He emphasised that unity, teamwork, collaboration, and mutual support are crucial to achieving the party’s shared objectives.

“It is important for chairmen to work closely with other constituency executive members to make the party attractive to voters,” he said. “We cannot force voters to choose the NPP. What we say and do will attract votes.”

Odeneho Appiah, who also previously chaired the Ashanti Regional NPP Constituency Chairmen Caucus, stressed the importance of unity among chairmen to overcome difficulties, solve problems, and ensure party progress.

He noted that the party needs practical ideas at all levels to promote fairness, accountability, transparency, and unity in the interest of preserving the integrity of the party.

“No civilised society will have issues with people who express dissenting views,” he said, adding that democracy must accommodate differences in opinion.

He underscored that constituency chairmen, along with other party executives, have a duty to protect, promote, rebuild, reorganise, and uphold the integrity of the NPP to ensure victory in the 2028 elections.

“They must respect and work with everyone to achieve the overall interest of the party. When the party’s interest is achieved, their individual interests will be fulfilled as well,” he said.

Odeneho Appiah also highlighted the need for chairmen to guide the executive in developing and implementing party strategies, aligning everyone with the party’s goals, and maintaining strong relationships among members to support informed decision-making.

He concluded by stressing the urgency of addressing all internal concerns promptly in order to focus on winning strategies ahead of the 2028 elections.
