Thomas Partey’s future at Arsenal remains uncertain as talks over a new contract have reportedly stalled.
The Ghanaian midfielder’s current deal with the North London club expires at the end of June, and despite discussions over an extension, no agreement has been reached.
Partey, who joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020 on a five-year contract, featured in the just-ended 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
Following the season’s conclusion, the club announced ongoing negotiations with the 31-year-old’s representatives, but progress has been slow.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that no agreement has been reached and suggested Partey may leave before the start of the 2025/26 season.
Interest in the experienced midfielder is mounting, with several European and Saudi Arabian clubs reportedly monitoring the situation.
Renowned Ghanaian lawyer and Arsenal supporter, Gabby Otchere-Darko, has also weighed in, urging Partey to consider a move.
“I’m an Arsenal fan, but I advise Thomas Partey to move elsewhere and make some good money for his pension years,” Otchere-Darko said on Asaase Radio.
Despite the uncertainty over his club future, Partey continues to shine, having recently been named Footballer of the Year at the 2025 Ghana Football Awards — his third time winning the honour.
