Ken Ashigbey steps down as Chamber of Telecommunications CEO

Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey has bowed out as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications.

This was contained in a joint statement with the Digital Chamber of Ghana, which revealed that his tenure ended in May 2025 after nearly eight years of distinguished service.

The two Chambers lauded Dr. Ashigbey’s leadership, highlighting his unwavering passion, vision, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

They noted that under his stewardship, the telecommunications and digital financial sectors in Ghana witnessed significant transformation and growth, with ripple effects that contributed meaningfully to the broader national economy.

“Dr. Ashigbey’s contributions have not only elevated our industries but have inspired all of us across sectors. His tenure was marked by innovation, collaborative stakeholder engagement, and advocacy that helped shape Ghana’s digital landscape,” the statement added.

The statement further noted that as the Chambers begin the process of transitioning leadership, all official correspondence regarding the CEO position should be directed to the Chairman of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications.

“We remain steadfast in our mission to build on the strong foundation Dr. Ashigbey has laid,” the Chambers assured. “We will continue to deepen our collaboration, push for innovation, and advocate for policies that drive inclusive growth across Ghana,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, the Chamber assured that the appointment of a new Chief Executive will be communicated in due course.

Dr. Ashigbey’s next steps have not yet been publicly disclosed, but the Chambers wished him continued success and fulfilment in his future endeavors.
