A 38-year-old head porter from the Nkwanta South Municipality in the Oti Region, Gideon Abramani, is appealing for assistance to undergo eye treatment.
He began experiencing vision problems several months ago, which initially appeared as a minor boil.
Unfortunately, his condition has worsened over time, making it increasingly difficult for him to focus on his daily work and support his family.
Despite his efforts, a lack of financial resources has forced him to rely on local treatment options that are inadequate for his needs.
In an appeal to the general public for support, Gideon, a father, revealed that he is under immense pressure from mounting medical bills.
He is in desperate need of assistance, as the cost of specialized eye treatment is beyond his means.
Without this treatment, he risks losing his sight and, consequently, his ability to provide for his family.
Gideon’s wife, Rita Aka, expressed her anguish in a conversation with Adom News. She made an emotional plea for help, emphasizing the importance of her husband as the breadwinner of the family.
She noted that Gideon is the pillar of their household, and since his health deteriorated, life has become increasingly challenging for her and their four children.
They are hoping that compassionate individuals and organizations will come forward to assist in securing the necessary treatment for Gideon.
