Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford has underscored the critical need to secure a win against Young Apostles in their upcoming Ghana Premier League fixture to keep their title hopes alive.
The Kpando-based side will travel to the Wenchi Sports Stadium on Sunday, May 25, for their Matchday 32 clash, kicking off at 15:00 GMT.
With only three games left in the season, Hayford knows every point is vital. While acknowledging the threat posed by relegation-battling Young Apostles, he remains determined that his team must deliver.
“These last three matches, we need some points to still be in contention for the league, so the expectation is that we try and get the win there, and then we will see for the last two matches if we will be in contention for the league,” he said.
“It is going to be a tough match; they are also planning to avoid relegation, so it is going to be a very difficult match. We are going to make sure that we get a win there so that we will be in contention for the league,” Hayford added.
Heart of Lions remain in the hunt for the league title, and a victory on Sunday could be pivotal in their quest for glory.
