Dadiesoaba Nursing Training College appeals for infrastructure support

The Principal of Dadiesoaba Nursing and Midwifery Training College in the Ahafo Region, Madam Marcelina Teni Kwose, has made a passionate appeal to the government and stakeholders to urgently address the school’s poor infrastructure.

Speaking to Adom News during the official launch of the school’s 10th anniversary, the principal highlighted major infrastructural challenges facing the institution, including the absence of a perimeter fence wall, insufficient lecture halls, inadequate student hostels, and a lack of staff accommodation.

According to her, the lack of a fence wall has exposed the campus to intrusions by stray animals such as pigs, sheep, and fowls, which freely roam the compound and disrupt academic activities.

She also lamented the limited number of lecture rooms, which makes teaching and learning difficult for the growing student population.

Regarding accommodation, Madam Kwose noted that despite the school’s decade-long contribution to health care delivery in the country, it still lacks adequate hostel facilities for students and residential quarters for tutors — a situation she described as very worrying.

She expressed hope that the school’s upcoming anniversary will draw attention to their plight and serve as a turning point for the much-needed development.

Meanwhile, the Queen Mother of Dadiesoaba, Nana Fosuaa Wireko Ampem II, also joined the call for support.

She appealed to the government, private individuals, and corporate organizations to come on board to help address the long-standing infrastructure deficit and improve the learning environment at the school.
