Mahama salutes mothers, reaffirms commitment to women and family welfare

President John Dramani Mahama has extended heartfelt wishes to mothers across Ghana in celebration of Mother’s Day, acknowledging their sacrifices and reaffirming his administration’s dedication to supporting women and families.

In a statement released on Sunday, President Mahama praised the resilience of mothers, describing them as a source of inspiration for their children and communities.

“Happy Mother’s Day to all the tireless mothers working to build a better future for their children,” he said.

“Many of you face daily challenges, yet your strength and perseverance continue to uplift those around you.”

The President urged Ghanaians to reflect on the vital role mothers play in the nation’s development, calling for renewed efforts to create a Ghana where every mother and child can thrive.

He assured that his government remains committed to implementing policies that support women and families, including expanded access to quality healthcare, education, and economic empowerment initiatives for women.

“Let’s all take a moment to appreciate the incredible women who nurtured us. To my wife, Lordina, Vice President Naana Jane, and all mothers—thank you,” he added.
