Ghana U-20 head coach Desmond Ofei has called on his players to improve their finishing ahead of their crucial Group C clash against Senegal at the ongoing U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
The Black Satellites are set to face the defending champions in their second group match at the New Suez Stadium later tonight.
Ghana began their tournament with a 1-1 draw against DR Congo last Friday, a game in which they failed to make the most of several scoring opportunities.
Reflecting on that performance, Ofei voiced his frustration over his team’s lack of cutting edge in front of goal but remains confident they can turn things around against Senegal.
“Against DRC, we created numerous chances but could not convert them,” he said.
“We need to be more clinical in today’s game, and that should ensure that we get the desired result to boost our chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals,” he added.
Kick-off is at 18:00 GMT.
