The Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, has questioned why the Electoral Commission (EC) used the register it claims is not credible for the creation of new regions and the district assembly elections if it did not believe in its credibility.

He said that was the same register that voted the president to power and asked if they should question the legitimacy of the president.

Speaking to the media at the inter-party resistance protest against the new register, Mr Iddrisu said the president should advice himself if he thinks the register that brought him to power is not credible.

The demonstration, which is the first of many to be held across the country, was led by the National Chairman of the NDC, Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo and the National Chairman of the People’s National Convention, Bernard Mornah.
