Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, says the Black Stars have admitted their mistakes in the draw against Chad and are determined to make amends when they face Mali on Monday.
Ghana were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Chad in N’Djamena on Thursday, September 4, during their Matchday 7 fixture in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Jordan Ayew opened the scoring in the 17th minute, but Celestine Ecau struck late to rescue a point for the hosts.
Ahead of the showdown with Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 8, Adams visited the Black Stars’ camp in Accra to encourage the team.
The Buem MP said both players and technical staff had assured him of their resolve to bounce back.
“The team acknowledged what went wrong and assured me they are focused on putting things right,” he said. “The head coach was clear they’ve taken lessons from the game and are determined to give everything on Monday,” he added.
The clash against Mali kicks off at 19:00 GMT.
