2026 WCQ: Otto Addo announces Black Stars squad for CAR and Comoros games

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has unveiled his squad for Ghana’s final two matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros.

The list features a blend of new faces and returning players, with 21-year-old forward Kojo Peprah Oppong earning his maiden senior call-up.

The OGC Nice attacker, who began his career at Ghanaian Division One side Attram De Visser, has impressed in Ligue 1 this season.

Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is also back in the fold after a strong campaign in the English Championship.

The 20-year-old, who overcame a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury last year, has been a standout performer for the Foxes.

Defender Alidu Seidu returns after nearly 12 months on the sidelines with a knee injury, while Medeama SC midfielder Prince Owusu receives his first international call-up following a bright start to the Ghana Premier League season.

Ghana travel to Morocco to face the Central African Republic at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknes on Wednesday, October 8, before hosting Comoros in Accra on Sunday, October 12.

The Black Stars currently sit top of Group I and need just four points from the two fixtures to seal qualification for a fifth World Cup, to be staged in the United States, Canada, and Mexico in 2026.
