
The Black Stars held their first training session at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca as preparations intensified for their crucial Matchday 9 clash in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against the Central African Republic.
A total of twenty players took part in Monday’s workout as head coach Otto Addo fine-tuned his tactics ahead of the decisive encounter.
Those present included goalkeepers Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Benjamin Asare, and Joseph Anang, alongside defenders Alidu Seidu, Gideon Mensah, Jerome Opoku, Ebenezer Annan, and Alexander Djiku. The midfield group featured Thomas Partey, Elisha Owusu, Kwasi Sibo, and Prince Owusu, while the attacking line was bolstered by Mohammed Kudus, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Joseph Paintsil, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Jordan Ayew, Brandon Thomas-Asante, and Antoine Semenyo.
The team is expected to travel to Meknes later today, where the highly anticipated fixture will take place at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknes on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, with kickoff set for 16:00 GMT.
Ghana currently sits at the summit of Group I with 19 points and two games remaining, as they chase a historic fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup.
