2026 WCQ: Black Stars to leave for Meknes today ahead of CAR game

The Black Stars are scheduled to leave Casablanca today, October 7, for Meknes, as they continue preparations for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic.

The team has been camping in Casablanca since Sunday, stepping up training ahead of the crucial Matchday 9 encounter in the qualification series.

Led by head coach Otto Addo, the squad has been training at the Mohammed V Sports Complex, with 20 players participating in Monday’s session.

Ghana will face the Central African Republic at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknes on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, with kick-off set for 16:00 GMT.

The Black Stars currently top Group I with 19 points and are determined to book a place at their fifth FIFA World Cup, having previously appeared in the global tournament in 2006 (Germany), 2010 (South Africa), 2014 (Brazil), and 2022 (Qatar).
