The Black Stars of Ghana will officially open camp in Accra today ahead of their Matchday 7 and 8 fixtures in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana is set to face Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4, before returning home to host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8, 2025.
The team’s first training session takes place today, September 1, at the Accra Sports Stadium and will be open to both the media and fans. Tuesday’s session, however, will be held behind closed doors before the squad departs for N’Djamena later that evening.
Head coach Otto Addo has named a 24-man squad for the fixtures, with Union Berlin left-back Derrick Arthur Köhn receiving his first call-up. Key players including Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo, and Elisha Owusu have already arrived in Accra for camp.
After six games, Ghana sits at the top of Group I with 15 points — three clear of Comoros and five ahead of Madagascar — as they push for a fifth FIFA World Cup appearance.
