The Black Stars held their final training session on Saturday evening at the Accra Sports Stadium as preparations intensified for their decisive 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Comoros.
Ghana will host the island nation on Sunday, October 12, in what promises to be a crucial fixture to wrap up the qualifying campaign.
After a dominant 5-0 victory over the Central African Republic in their Matchday 9 encounter in Morocco, the four-time African champions need just a point to secure their place at next year’s World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
All 24 players were present for the final training session, reflecting a fully fit and focused squad ahead of the showdown in Accra.
Kick-off is scheduled for 19:00 GMT. A positive result will see Ghana book their ticket to the global showpiece for the fifth time, following appearances in 2006 (Germany), 2010 (South Africa), 2014 (Brazil), and 2022 (Qatar).
