Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has named his starting lineup for Ghana’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Group L clash against England at the Gillette Stadium in Boston.
The Portuguese tactician has made four changes to the side that edged Panama 1-0 in their opening match of the tournament, with Thomas Partey, Inaki Williams, Benjamin Asare and Kwasi Sibo all returning to the starting XI.
Queiroz has maintained his preferred 4-3-3 system, handing Partey an immediate return to the lineup after the midfielder missed Ghana’s opening victory.
The former Arsenal star will anchor the midfield alongside Kwasi Sibo and Caleb Yirenkyi.
In attack, Inaki Williams is handed his first start of the tournament, replacing Ernest Nuamah.
The Athletic Bilbao forward will partner Antoine Semenyo and captain Jordan Ayew in a three-man frontline as Ghana seek a second successive win.
Benjamin Asare takes over in goal from Lawrence Ati-Zigi, while Queiroz has retained the defensive quartet that kept a clean sheet against Panama.
Marvin Senaya, Jonas Adjetey, Jerome Opoku and Gideon Mensah will once again line up across the back.
Ghana Starting XI vs England: Benjamin Asare; Marvin Senaya, Jonas Adjetey, Jerome Opoku, Gideon Mensah; Kwasi Sibo, Thomas Partey, Caleb Yirenkyi; Antoine Semenyo, Inaki Williams, Jordan Ayew (captain).

Victory for either side will guarantee qualification to the Round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
