The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially named French coach Alain Ravera as the new assistant coach of the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Ravera brings a wealth of international experience, having served as an assistant coach with Guinea and French club AS Monaco.
He will work closely with head coach Otto Addo, overseeing match preparation, tactical planning, and overall team development throughout Ghana’s World Cup campaign in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
His appointment is tied specifically to the 2026 tournament, reflecting the GFA’s tradition of strengthening the Black Stars’ technical team whenever the nation qualifies for major international competitions.
The Black Stars are set to reconvene in March for friendlies against Austria and Germany as part of their World Cup preparations.
Drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia, Ghana will aim to progress past the group stage, having been eliminated at this stage in both the 2014 and 2022 editions.
