Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has expressed strong confidence that the Black Stars will deliver a proud performance at the 2026 World Cup.

The four-time African champions are set to compete in the tournament, co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Ghana has been drawn into Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia.

Speaking at the launch of the Black Stars Fundraising Campaign at the Kempinski Hotel on March 20, Okraku acknowledged past group-stage exits in Brazil (2014) and Qatar (2022) but insisted the team is well-prepared for the challenge ahead.

“Today, we are very confident that the intangible assets that we have produced over time, the intangible assets that have been put together by coach [Otto] Addo and his team, we will make Ghana proud,” he said.

“We will go into this tournament with our chest up, ready to fight for the strip and ready to change our story. We fear no foe and believe me, Ghana football will speak,” Okraku added.

The Black Stars open their campaign against Panama on June 17, meet England on June 23, and conclude the group stage against Croatia on June 27.
