The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially released Ghana’s squad for the ongoing U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
The Black Satellites are set to begin their campaign on Friday, May 2, when they face Group C opponents DR Congo.
Head coach Desmond Ofei and his team have been in Egypt for several days, preparing and acclimatising ahead of the tournament’s kickoff.
Despite the preparations, concerns have emerged over the availability of some players, with reports indicating that a few squad members are yet to arrive at the team’s base in Egypt.
Nevertheless, the remaining players are expected to join the camp before Friday’s opening match.
Ofei, who also serves as an assistant coach for the Black Stars, is determined to lead the team to a successful campaign and secure qualification for the U-20 World Cup later this year.
