2025 TGMA: King Paluta’s ‘Aseda’ wins Best Highlife Song

Rising rap and highlife sensation King Paluta has clinched the Best Highlife Song award at the ongoing 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), currently underway at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.

Paluta secured the win with his widely acclaimed hit “Aseda”, beating strong contenders including Fameye, Kuami Eugene, Amerado’s “Abronoma,” Kofi Kinaata’s “Effiakuma Broken Heart,” and Rap Fada’s “Odo Bi Ye Bad,” which also featured Paluta.

The victory marks a significant milestone for King Paluta, who continues to bridge highlife and rap with his unique style, and it further cements his fast-rising influence in Ghana’s contemporary music scene.

Though he was not present to receive the award, his PRO, MC Portfolio did him the honour.

The TGMAs, now in their 26th year, remain the premier celebration of musical excellence in Ghana, honouring talent across genres and generations.
