The 2025/26 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League kicks off this Friday, October 31, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced.
A total of four matches will headline the opening day across the Northern and Southern Zones, setting the stage for what promises to be an action-packed campaign.
In the Northern Zone, FC Savannah will host Ampem Darkoa Ladies at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, before Prisons Ladies lock horns with Northern Ladies later in the day at the same venue.
Over in the Southern Zone, defending champions Police Ladies will begin their title defence against Halifax Queens at the Madina Astro Turf at 1:30 p.m. Later, Epiphany Warriors will battle Army Ladies on the same pitch at 3:30 p.m.
The action continues on Saturday, with several fixtures spread across both zones. In the Northern Zone, AshTown Ladies will square off with Kumasi Sports Academy, Dreamz Ladies will host Tamale Super Ladies, while Fosu Royal Ladies take on Northern City.
In the Southern Zone, newly promoted Oak Ladies will make their top-flight debut against five-time champions Hasaacas Ladies, as Jonina Ladies face Soccer Intellectuals. The opening weekend will conclude at the Nsenkyire Arena, where Samartex Ladies play host to LadyStrikers.
With Police Ladies determined to defend their crown and traditional powerhouses Hasaacas Ladies and Ampem Darkoa Ladies eager to reclaim their dominance, the 2025/26 season is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling yet.
