2025/26 GHPL: Medeama beat Vision FC to extend lead as GoldStars and Kotoko share spoils

Saturday’s Matchday 19 action in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League wrapped up across two centres, producing late drama and a stalemate between title contenders.

At the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, Vision FC entertained league leaders Medeama SC in a tightly contested encounter.

After a cautious opening, Faruk Mohammed put the hosts ahead deep into first-half stoppage time to give Vision FC a surprise lead at the break.

Vision FC maintained their intensity after the restart, but Medeama raised the tempo in the closing stages. With 10 minutes remaining, Salim Adams drew the visitors level before striking again in added time to complete a dramatic comeback and secure a 2-1 victory.

The win keeps Medeama top of the table on 40 points, while Vision FC remain 12th with 22 points.

Medeama will next host Karela United at the TNA Park on Matchday 20, with Vision FC set to travel to the Hohoe Sports Stadium to face Hohoe United.

Elsewhere at DUN’s Park, Bibiani GoldStars and Asante Kotoko played out a goalless draw. The result leaves GoldStars second on the league standings with 33 points, while Kotoko occupy fourth place on 32 points.

Looking ahead, GoldStars will visit Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park, while Kotoko are scheduled to host Basake Holy Stars in their next fixture.
