Matchday 14 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League delivered a weekend of compelling action across the country, with crucial results at both ends of the table.
At the Kpando Sports Stadium, Heart of Lions’ impressive unbeaten home record was brought to an end by Aduana FC, who edged the contest 1–0. A second-half strike from Patrick Mensah proved decisive as the two-time champions claimed all three points.
Hearts of Oak finally halted their winless run with a narrow 1–0 victory over Nations FC at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Saturday. After a cagey first half, Hamza Issah found the breakthrough after the restart to secure a hard-fought win for the Phobians.
On Sunday, Basake Holy Stars were in fine form at home, brushing aside FC Samartex 2–0. Simba Sylvester struck twice in the first half to settle the encounter early.
Bechem United also returned to winning ways at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, recording a 1–0 victory over relegation-threatened Eleven Wonders. With the game finely balanced at the break, Augustine Afranie Mensah calmly converted a second-half penalty to hand the hosts maximum points.
Berekum Chelsea followed suit at the Golden City Park, grinding out a 1–0 win against Hohoe United. After a scoreless first half, Prince Anane’s 78th-minute effort sealed the victory for the home side.
At the Swedru Sports Stadium, Swedru All Blacks continued their resurgence with a convincing 2–0 triumph over Vision FC. Clement Tutu opened the scoring shortly before the interval, before David Ofori’s second-half own goal ensured a comfortable finish for the hosts.
Young Apostles delighted their home fans at the Wenchi Sports Stadium with a 2–1 win over Karela United. Ali Abdul Ganiwu put the hosts ahead in the 20th minute, but Felix Mortu restored parity before the break. Four minutes into the second half, Issah Nyaabila struck the winner to clinch the points.
At the Baba Yara Stadium, Asante Kotoko left it late against Dreams FC. Following a goalless first half, Kwame Opoku netted in the 80th minute to guide the Porcupine Warriors back to winning ways.
Elsewhere, the fixture between Bibiani GoldStars and Medeama SC was postponed.
After 14 rounds of matches, Aduana FC, Medeama SC, Asante Kotoko and Heart of Lions occupy the top four positions on the league table, while Dreams FC, Bechem United and Eleven Wonders find themselves in the relegation zone.
