The fixtures kicked off on Friday with Swedru All Blacks handing Eleven Wonders a 2-0 defeat at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Rudolf Mensah struck twice in the 25th and 64th minutes, extending Wonders’ winless run under new manager Emmanuel Aidoo.
On Saturday, Nations FC showed resilience at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, coming from behind to beat Heart of Lions 2-1.
Chauncy Freeman put the visitors in front early, but an own goal from Ruben Hennessy pulled Nations level.
Prince Badu settled the contest with a late winner, sealing the club’s fourth league victory of the season.
Sunday’s matches added another layer of intrigue. Aduana FC were frustrated at home, playing out a goalless draw with Basake Holy Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park.
Medeama SC, meanwhile, tightened their grip at the summit with a 2-1 comeback win over Berekum Chelsea at TNA Park.
Chelsea grabbed the opener through Faisal Shaibu, but Jacob Mensah Amu equalised before Salim Adams completed the turnaround midway through the second half.
In the Western derby at the Nana Nsenkyire Sports Complex, FC Samartex proved too strong for champions Bibiani GoldStars, cruising to a 2-0 victory through goals from Emmanuel Kofi Essien and Emmanuel Mamah, who converted from the spot.
Hearts of Oak endured another difficult outing, falling 2-0 to Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium. Eric Antwi netted both goals in the opening half to deepen the Phobians’ struggles.
Elsewhere, Vision FC and Young Apostles shared a goalless draw at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Stadium, while Dreams FC edged Bechem United 2-1 at the Tuba Astro Turf.
An own goal and a strike from Abdul Razak gave Dreams control before Yaw Annor reduced the deficit.
The standout result of the weekend came in Hohoe, where newcomers Hohoe United stunned giants Asante Kotoko 1-0.
William Oduro’s exquisite free-kick in the 24th minute secured the club’s most significant win of the campaign.
After the round of matches, Medeama SC lead the table, followed closely by Aduana FC, Heart of Lions and Bibiani GoldStars.
Berekum Chelsea, Bechem United and Eleven Wonders currently occupy the relegation places.
