Matchday 10 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League served up drama, late twists and decisive victories across the country as clubs battled to strengthen their positions on the table.
The action began on Saturday in Swedru, where Swedru All Stars were frustrated by Accra Hearts of Oak in a cagey 0-0 stalemate at the Swedru Sports Stadium.
On Sunday, Basake Holy Stars and Vision FC produced a lively 2-2 draw at the AAK II Park. Prince Tweneboah struck inside two minutes for the hosts, only for Samed Sumaila Abdul to restore parity midway through the half. Sheriff Mohammed Iddrissu completed the turnaround for Vision FC late in the game, but Bismark Teye popped up deep into stoppage time to rescue a point for Basake Holy Stars.
In Bechem, Emmanuel Abban was the star of the day as his brace handed Bechem United a commanding 2-0 victory over defending league leaders FC Samartex at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
At the Golden City Park, Berekum Chelsea eased the mounting pressure on head coach Samuel Boadu with a crucial 2-1 win over Nations FC. Haruna Shaibu and Marvin Owusu netted in each half for the home side, while Samuel Tetteh grabbed a consolation for Nations FC.
Bibiani GoldStars maintained their strong form with a narrow 1-0 win over Karela United at the Dun’s Park, thanks to a 39th-minute effort from Razack Sanou.
Dreams FC continued their steady rise with a 1-0 victory against Hohoe United on the Tuba Astro Turf, courtesy of a second-half finish from Jonathan Nemorden.
The struggles of Eleven Wonders worsened as they slipped to a 2-1 home defeat to Medeama SC, extending their run as the only side yet to record a win. Godknows Dzakpasu gave Medeama the lead on the stroke of halftime, Daniel Lomotey levelled after the break, but Nana Kofi Babil’s goal 11 minutes from time sealed the points for the visitors.
Heart of Lions enjoyed a comfortable outing at the Kpando Sports Stadium, claiming a 2-0 win over Young Apostles. Michael Ephson opened the scoring in the 12th minute before the visitors compounded their woes with an own goal.
At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Asante Kotoko were held to a 1-1 draw by Aduana FC. Emmanuel Marfo stunned the home crowd with an early opener, but Lord Amoah equalised on the stroke of halftime. The Porcupine Warriors remain the league’s only unbeaten side.
After Matchday 10, Medeama SC, Heart of Lions, Aduana FC and Bibiani GoldStars occupy the top four positions. Swedru All Stars, Basake Holy Stars and Eleven Wonders sit in the drop zone as the campaign shapes up into an intriguing battle at both ends of the table.
