
The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season kicks off this weekend across stadiums nationwide.
The curtain-raiser takes place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday night, where Hearts of Oak will host debutants Hohoe United. Kick-off is set for 19:00 GMT, with former President John Mahama expected to attend.
Saturday’s fixtures feature Berekum Chelsea welcoming Asante Kotoko to the Golden City Park, while defending champions Bibiani GoldStars take on Bechem United at the DUN’s Park. Both matches are scheduled for a 15:00 GMT start.
Sunday promises a full slate of action. Heart of Lions will face Dreams FC at the Kpando Sports Stadium, while Basake Holy Stars clash with Eleven Wonders FC at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
Vision FC host FC Samartex 1996 at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, and Medeama FC travel to Nana Agyemang Badu Park to take on Young Apostles.
Elsewhere, Karela United play Aduana FC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, while Nations FC welcome Swedru All Blacks to the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex. All Sunday fixtures are scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
