Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant, Kwabena Agyepong, has cautioned the party against blame game over its defeat in the 2024 election.
According to him, the NPP must focus on learning from its defeat and mistakes for a strong comeback in the 2028 election.
In an interview on Asempa FM Ekosii Sen, the former General Secretary emphasised that the electoral loss should be a moment of sober reflection for the NPP.
“When you go into an election, there is an overwhelming goodwill for the new government, and it is normal. So you plan your communication and everything for the people to know that you are learning.
“That is why we put together this Prof. Oquaye committee. This is not the time for us to vent because it has never healed anything,” he said.
He stated that it was unnecessary to identify and blame anybody for the defeat.
“This is not the time to name and shame but for sober reflection. The document is not meant for public consumption so we can just put together a team to deliberate on the report and take the necessary steps because that is what matters,” he added.
