2024 CHANQ: Black Galaxies depart for Nigeria ahead of return leg clash

The Black Galaxies departed Accra early Friday morning, heading to Uyo for the crucial Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Nigeria.

The team, led by Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani is set to face the Super Eagles in the decisive second-leg encounter.

The squad held their final training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday night, preparing for the high-stakes match.

Following a goalless draw in the first leg in Accra last Sunday, the Black Galaxies are determined to secure a positive result in Uyo.

They are scheduled to train at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium later tonight, ahead of Saturday’s match, which kicks off at 16:00 GMT.

The winner of the tie will earn a place in the CHAN tournament, set to take place from February 1-28, 2025, in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.

Ghana, having defeated Nigeria to qualify for the previous edition of the tournament, will be looking to repeat history and achieve another upset on Nigerian soil.
