19 arrested for suspected drug trade and robbery within Gomoa Dominase

The Central East Regional Police Command, through a special operation on Thursday, June 12, 2025, arrested 19 suspects in connection with illicit drug trade and robbery activities within the Kasoa Dominase enclave and the onion market in the Central Region.

The suspects have been identified as Abubakari Ibrahim, Mohammed Awal, Shafiu Salisu, Hamza Amadu, Ali Adamu, Balhani Fuseini, Jamal Haruna, Zakari Abdulai, Abdul Aziz, Bera Kalidu, Moro Baki, Anthony Lucky, and Razak Yussif.

Others are Sumani Issah, Sulley Mohammed, Abdul Salifu, Eliasu Bukari, Kamelo Muuk, and Osumanu Amadu.

Exhibits retrieved during the operation include substances suspected to be Indian hemp, as well as controlled pharmaceutical drugs such as Tramadol and ‘Red’.

A statement signed by the Head of the Public Affairs Unit, DSP Victor Kofi Dosoo, noted that all 19 suspects are currently in custody assisting with investigations and will be put before court in due course.

The Regional Command has also commended the personnel who undertook the operation and encouraged them not to relent in their efforts in the fight against crime.

The public has also been entreated to provide relevant information to assist in continued efforts to clamp down on the menace of illicit drug trade, substance abuse, and robbery in the communities, in order to help maintain a safer environment.
