A total of 130 widows in Yamfo and surrounding communities in the Ahafo Region have received food items through a support initiative led by Lawyer William Kusi and his wife.
At a brief ceremony, the widows were served meals and presented with bags of rice, bottles of cooking oil, and canned fish.
Speaking to Adom News, Lawyer Kusi explained that life has been particularly challenging for widows in Yamfo and its environs, motivating him and his wife to provide sustained support to ease their burden.
He encouraged the widows not to lose faith, assuring them that God, in His wisdom, continues to raise people to support them and bring joy into their lives. Lawyer Kusi further pledged that the initiative would continue, urging the beneficiaries to remain hopeful.
One of the beneficiaries, Beatrice Serwaa, alongside the Head Pastor of the Yamfo Assemblies of God Church, Reverend Benjamin Gyan, expressed gratitude to the couple for their continued support over the past three years.
They noted that the quantity and quality of items donated have improved each year, attracting more widows to benefit from the initiative and positively impacting their livelihoods.
