A crash on the Umasi Highway on March 23, 2026, involved a Toyota Camry and a Toyota Voxy, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has reported.
According to the Anyinam Fire Station, the accident left 11 people injured, comprising six males and five females.

Fire officers arrived at the scene around 5:27 pm but found that bystanders had already rescued the victims and taken them to Enyiresi Government Hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the collision occurred when the driver of the Toyota Camry attempted to overtake.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged, with losses estimated in the hundreds of thousands of cedis.
The fire crew later secured the scene and returned to base after completing their operations.
