The suspect, per information gathered, accused the victim of demolishing his father’s building construction.

He is said to have mobilised some persons to attack the victim, Amos Fosu in his home, despite the latter denying the accusation.

Amos was stripped naked during the abuse and was subjected to intense beating, leaving him with bruises all over his body.

Source revealed that, there is a land litigation between Fetteh Kakraba and Gomoa Fetteh Stool which resulted in the attack.

Meanwhile, the matter was reported to the district police who picked up the suspect into custody before handing him over to the Military police.

Investigations have since commenced.

Wife of the suspect has gone on a rampage, declaring war on the suspects for exposing her husband’s nudity to the entire community.

Per a police situational report, the five suspects snatched a Toyota Camry and other items from one Adam Abdul-Gafaru at gunpoint in Tamale.

The activities of the suspects were traced by a tracking machine which alerted that they were heading towards Buipe direction.

Based on this, the Buipe highway patrol team on duty at Sawaba checkpoint launched an attack, intercepted and arrested the occupants of the snatched and robbery vehicle with registration numbers AS8445-19 and GX6923-20.

The suspects have been identified as Ibrahim Issah aged 27, Contractor/Accra, Mohammed Mustapha in military uniform, aged 23, Burma camp DI, Vivor Christopher aged 27, a phone repairer, Benyamin Ajyei aged 23 mobile money vendor, Accra and Seyram Addo aged 29, Plumber, Danfa/ Madina.

A search conducted after their arrest found 13 assorted mobile phones, one Falcon Foreign Pistol loaded with 9mm ammunition, a wallet containing a bunch of keys together with two handcuffs key, two Voter’s ID Cards

The victim has been identified as the brother of Chairman for the Justice and Security Subcommittee of Savelugu Municipal Assembly, Iddrisu Nurudeen.

The man was allegedly punished for flouting some directives and ordered to do sit-ups.

In the course of his punishment, his temperament rose, leading him to throw a punch at the military man.

Though he took to his heels, his legs could not carry him faster than the military officials who arrested him before he could even escape.

In the latest video which found its way to social media, the civilian could be seen in the grips of a couple of military personnel who seem offended by his actions.

Despite his plea for mercy, the unidentified young man was whisked away.

Many have attributed the video to lockdown enforcement in Kumasi and its related fallouts but the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has come to state that the video has nothing to do with Coronavirus and lockdown in parts of the country.

Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces, Col Aggrey Quashie denied the linkages being drawn by sections of the public, insisting the incidence in the video happened somewhere last year.

The GAF’s position has, however been contested by sessions of the public who are wondering what kind of operation would have warranted the military officers wearing a nose mask in 2019.
