Nana Tanoe Blay III, Chief of Ekebeku, has called on politicians to show respect to traditional authorities regardless of their political affiliation.
He made the call while speaking at a meeting with the Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, in the Jomoro Constituency. According to Nana Tanoe Blay III, chiefs and elders must be properly engaged and consulted by political leaders.
He noted that traditional leaders are always willing to cooperate when they are treated with respect and formally invited.
The chief commended the Member of Parliament for Jomoro for her support to communities in the area, particularly Ekebeku and its surrounding communities.
He also acknowledged the NDC’s contribution to development in the constituency, citing improvements in road infrastructure and the extension of electricity to some communities.
While expressing appreciation for the support received so far, Nana Tanoe Blay III appealed for additional road projects to be undertaken to further improve living conditions in the area.
