The outgone Director-General of Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, Commissioner of Police (COP) Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, has revealed that one thing she wished she could have done better as CID boss was strengthening communication within the Department.

COP Addo-Danquah, who became very controversial following a statement she made concerning the missing Takoradi girls, was reshuffled recently to head the Welfare Department of the Ghana Police Service.

COP Addo-Danquah, in an interview with Adom News, explained that though she lifted the face of the CID during her tenure, one thing she could have done better was the communication structure from the service to the media.

“Sometimes we keep a lot of things to ourselves, we don’t share so in the absence of accurate information, the media will fill it with rumours. They will say whatever they think,” COP Addo-Danquah said.

“We shouldn’t allow the media to set the pace for us to be defending but rather, we should tell our story,” the former CID Director-General, noted.
