Speaking to Myjoyonline.com, Mr. Agyepong explained that the incident occurred on Friday while he was driving from Accra to Winneba. Fatigue, he said, caused him to breach a wall along the Winneba Beach Road.

Part of the wall collapsed and struck his vehicle.

Social media reports had suggested that the accident was fatal, but Kenpong has confirmed that there were no fatalities.

“No, I’m OK. I’m doing very fine and currently in Winneba. All is well. I had a cut on my eyelid, but all is well,” he said on Sunday evening.

According to him, he had just seen off Kelvin Kojo Fosu, son of the late legendary highlife musician Daddy Lumba, who was on his way back to Germany, where he resides.
