Injecting the stage with rhythms of unity and joy, 1Don grooved to the beat of Alpha Blondy’s ‘Coco De Rasta,’ spreading contagious energy among the spectators.

However, it was Ohemaa Perez who stole the spotlight with her electrifying rendition of ‘Chant A Psalm’ by Steel Pulse. Her performance was hailed as the highlight of the night, captivating everyone with her mesmerizing reggae vibes.

Obofour effortlessly spread Bob Marley’s timeless message of ‘One Love,’ showcasing his versatility and charisma on stage.

Tilly Funky captured the complexities of life with every note of Lucky Dube’s ‘Crazy World,’ leaving a lasting impression with her soulful performance.

Pros took the audience on a journey of rhythm and discovery with Burning Spear’s ‘Christopher Columbus,’ showcasing his musical prowess and creativity.

Ghana Besiaba brought Bob Marley’s soulful vibes to life with ‘Sweat,’ infusing the stage with an aura of authenticity and passion.

Closing the night, Beautiful immersed the audience in the timeless message of love and memory with Lucky Dube’s ‘Remember Me,’ leaving a lasting impact with her heartfelt performance.

Osaah eloquently portrayed Gifty Anti, emphasizing her advocacy and philanthropy, especially her dedication to girl child education. Her motivational role in society was highlighted, inspiring others to strive for educational empowerment.

Nana‘s portrayal showcased Nana Ama McBrown’s entrepreneurial journey, emphasizing her determination and success in the entertainment industry, serving as an inspiration for many aspiring individuals.

Amoakoaa highlighted Celine Dion’s impressive music career, starting from a young age and her multilingual talents that earned her numerous awards, establishing her as a globally recognized singer.

Awura brought attention to Miriam Makeba’s anti-apartheid activism, Grammy-winning music, and her resilience as a breast cancer survivor. Her powerful music and advocacy made her an influential figure in African history. Upon her death, former South African President Nelson Mandela said that “her music inspired a powerful sense of hope in all of us.”

Agyakowaa‘s portrayal of Yaa Asantewaa emphasized her bravery during colonial resistance, particularly her role as a motivator during imprisonment. Her legacy as a strong historical figure was highlighted. She also poke on how Yaa Asantewaa inspired the word Premtobre when was a term coined while she was imprisoned. Every noon, gunshots were fired to symbolize her defeat.

Darkowaa showcased Theodosia Salome Okoh’s contributions, notably designing Ghana’s national flag. Her role in Ghana’s history and culture was highlighted, emphasizing her enduring legacy.

In a remarkable turn of events, Awura from Asante Mampong in the Ashanti Region emerged as the standout performer of the week after impressing the panel with her presentation.

As a token of recognition, she was presented with a sponsor’s product hamper by the esteemed judge, Nanahemaa Adwoa Awindor.

Quito, known for his thought-provoking performances, utilized his platform to address pertinent issues.

This week, his performance carried a strong message against gambling in schools and students leaving classrooms during instructional hours. His socially conscious approach resonated with both the judges and the audience.

Addi Churchbwoy electrified the atmosphere with his dancehall entry, leaving fans exhilarated. The infectious chorus of “Na Akye” combined with his freestyle dynamics demonstrated his readiness to make his mark in the music industry, capturing the essence of dancehall culture.

However, it was Rapper Stranjer who continued to dominate the performances in this series. The rapper’s ability to address pressing social issues through his music has consistently garnered attention. His thought-provoking approach to lyricism remains a standout aspect of each performance, solidifying his place as a front-runner in the competition.

As “The Darling Factor” talent show continues to unfold, it is evident that the contestants’ diverse talents and unique perspectives are contributing to a truly memorable season.

The Big Talent Show Week 6: Martha evicted amid hot showdown by contestants https://www.adomonline.com/the-big-talent-show-week-6-martha-evicted-amid-hot-showdown-by-contestants/ Wed, 10 Nov 2021 11:54:56 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2041349 Week 6 of Adom TV’s popular reality show, The Big Talent Show, saw Martha directed to exit the competition after judges made a unanimous decision to choose contestant Nana Yaw over her.

They both had the same number of votes, hence judges were made to vote over who should stay in the competition, and unfortunately, Martha lost.

With regards to the performances this week, Martha opened up the show with renowned gospel musician Hannah Marfo’s Akristofo Adooso song. She rocked the audience well but Judge Adwoa Smart asked her to do better if eviction gets past her.

C-Nortey continued with his dancing act performance. This time around he played according to the old school theme where he took to the dancefloor with his ‘lover’. Judges were impressed by his costume and creativity.

Size Two took the audience back to the days of slave trade in Ghana. He spoke against tribalism in the country – querying if Ghanaians are truly free from slavery after Dr Kwame Nkrumah won independence for Ghana in 1957.
We should all be one and unite, Size Two preached against diversity among Ghanaians.

Meanwhile, Tapoli was a translator for the night. Having a senior pastor preach, Tapoli’s task was easy to translate in a language that people will understand but he did otherwise in a comic way. Though he impressed many, judges thought that kind of performance had been an old chestnut since it had inundated the media space for a long time.

Bie Gya’s performance fell in line with the old theme that was proposed for the remaining contestants. Judges loved it but wanted more.

Shatta Wifi received solid applause after he performed Osobro Kyee by renowned Ghanaian Highlife musician Dr Paa Bobo. The fans sang along with him with some of the judges nodding on in positivity.

Short Prophet took on Amakye Dede’s Sese Odo song and it went well for him – the judges were very impressed with how people joined him in singing.

Nana Yaw was very energetic with his dancing performance but the judges queried why he failed to dance along to a highlife rhythm rather than a foreign track.

Faith Power continued to lead his colleagues with votes this week and it all made sense with his powerful balancing-acrobatic displays.

The contestants gave credence to A.A. Gills’ saying that “breakfast is everything; the beginning, the first thing. It is the mouthful that is the commitment to a new day, a continuing life.”

The task of the week was uncomplicated; prepare a creativity-filled breakfast for a visiting cousin.

In the 45 minutes as set by the Chefs; Adepa and Rafiatu, the contestants who were up and running did not disappoint in fixing a single plate breakfast.

Neither of the contestants could deny a perfect breakfast must include eggs; as they did not fail in accompanying their meals with omelets, toast, steamed and fried eggs.

Rodney served patrons and judges with a delightful hot chocolate with bread and omelet, salad leaving Victoria no other option than to garnish her bread and omelet with sausages and baked beans.

 Loviette presented a rainbow salad, toasted bread, and banana smoothie as Maame Yaa served her corn porridge together with eggs and her avocado sandwich.

Christopher was in the good books of the judges as he played safe with his sausage veggies sauce and bread omelets beating Gertrude with her milkshake, eggs and salad.

Taking a different twist on the night, Khadijah served her hot Hausa koko with eggs koose, veggies koose and koose bread as Nana Adwoa dished out potato hash browns and smoothie.

Regina in attempt to match up displayed her toasted bread with baked beans, sausage and toasted eggs while Abigail platted her hot chocolate, eggs, bread and salad.

Clifford amazed the judges with his best received yet;  bread omelet and steamed eggs with oats.

The task was to awaken a cousin to sunrise and a creativity-filled breakfast.

Maria Chiara proved her cooking prowess with fluffy Dolait mango chunks and pancake with melted chocolate toppings and fruit salad.

With her wonderful presentation, proper hygiene and amazing taste, the judges were convinced she surpassed all her colleagues.

“I wanted to inspire my cousin with good food and creativity; I wanted to achieve that with something extraordinary. All happiness depends on a leisurely breakfast and I believe my cousin should start the day right,” she explained her choice of recipe.

Meanwhile, with teary eyes, Regina and Gertrude had to wave their final goodbyes to their colleagues as they emerged the first evictees since the show kicked off.
