The versatile defender joined Olimpik Donetsk after the 2014/2015 season on a two-year contract and has returned after a failed stint with the Ukrainian team.

The former U20 centre-back is convinced the Western Regional Premier League side is the right destination for him to re-launch his career to shoot into limelight again.

“I seek to make a mark in the premier league with Karela FC and I will help the club finish in top four. It is not always about the money…” Ganiu told Wise TV.

Abdul Ganiu played 29 out the 30 premier league games when Wa all Stars defied all odds to win first ever league title in 2015.

We can defend premier league title – Richard Ofori https://www.adomonline.com/can-defend-premier-league-title-richard-ofori/ Fri, 24 Mar 2017 10:40:39 +0000 http://ghana-news.adomonline.com/new/?p=44311 Wa All Stars and Black Stars goalkeeper, Richard Ofori has said that the club has been exploiting the prospects of defending the Ghana Premier League title they won last season.

The Blues won the Ghana Premier League for the first time last season with an impressive performance.

The champions are 4th on the league table after eight matches with 12 points and have an outstanding match.

The goalkeeper was out of town when the season started but confident they can still defend it despite the tricky fixtures.

“I hear people say we can’t defend the title we won last season but I believe that it is possible,” Ofori told Asempa Sports.

“We must just go through week after week and see how it goes but I have doubt we can defend the title even though it won’t be easy because the rest of the clubs have studied us,” he added.

Wa All Stars have introduced about eight young new players into their first team that played part in last season’s achievement with some key players also leaving the shores of Ghana to seek new challenge.

The defending champions have lost only once in seven matches.
