“We are looking to make a jump. It would be very good if we could finish within the first eight. That would be a huge step for us. Personally, as a coach, I always aim for the top four. It’s good for my CV, but it’s also important for the club to move from 11th to the top four,” he told 3Sports.

Acknowledging the challenges of building a competitive Premier League side, the young tactician believes Vision FC has the potential to secure a respectable position.

“Look, we have to be realistic. We are a young team competing for places. Top eight would be a big achievement for us. In the first and second seasons, it’s about maintaining our position and improving on last year. The top four is a bit ahead for now, but top eight is achievable, and we’ll do everything possible to get there,” he added.

Vision FC will kick off their campaign with a home clash against FC Samartex on Sunday at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.

“The positive side of this game is that it serves as a wake-up call for the finals [FA Cup]. I saw this coming even before the Medeama game, so I am not overly worried. At the end of the day, winning this match would not give me the title but will place me in a better position,” he said.

“The biggest bullet lies in the fact that we are not converting our chances. So hopefully we are able to convert, if we convert, I think we are going to take the three points,” he added.

Vision FC currently sit 14th on the league table with 28 points and are keen to climb out of the lower half as the season enters its final stretch.
