The award ceremony, spearheaded by the Young Adventist Women Ministries, celebrated the moral integrity of girls aged 13 to 16, reinforcing values rooted in Christian principles and Ghanaian cultural traditions.

Mrs. Nana Amponsah Poku, Coordinator of the Young Adventist Women Ministries, explained that the initiative aims to nurture the holistic well-being of young women.

She noted that empowering young girls to embrace their unique identity fosters self-confidence and wise decision-making in their relationships and activities.

Mrs. Poku likened the ceremony to traditional puberty rites such as Bragoro and Dipo, which have historically prepared adolescent girls for societal and marital responsibilities. She emphasized that the modernized Christian approach involves presenting the girls before God for blessings and guidance.

Pastor Andrews Dua Bour Kyereh, Associate Pastor of the Wenchi West District, commended the honorees for their discipline and purity, urging them to prioritize education and remain steadfast in their faith. He also encouraged other young girls in the church and the community to emulate their example.

Pastor Kyereh further advised parents to play an active role in instilling discipline and guiding their children toward virtuous living.

Some of the awarded girls expressed their gratitude to the church leaders for their guidance and support in helping them uphold their values.

The event underscored the church’s commitment to shaping the next generation of young women with a blend of cultural heritage and Christian teachings.

I called my father when I lost my virginity – Popular artiste reveals https://www.adomonline.com/i-called-my-father-when-i-lost-my-virginity-popular-artiste-reveals/ Wed, 12 Jan 2022 10:29:55 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2066400 Nigerian singer, Daniel Anidugbe known in the showbiz circles as Kizz Daniel, has revealed that, his father was the first person he called when he lost his virginity at 21.

The artiste in an interview published in TheWill Downtown Magazine spoke about becoming a parent, his social media outrage last year, and his relationship with his father.

Kizz Daniel said “My dad is my best friend. I used the word ‘is’ because he’s still in my heart after him, then my brother. So I was really close to my dad but not so much with my mum.

“As a normal dude, the day I lost my virginity, I should have called my friends but it was my dad. I lost my virginity at the age of 21 — as a kid, I was a bookworm and a huge nerd.

“I studied Water Engineering and graduated with a 4.32 GPA — so I’m narrating everything to him; from the beginning, all the way to the end and he laughed from start to finish. It was a very weird conversation but that just goes to show how deep the bond went.”

On fatherhood, the artiste said, becoming a father has made him more aware of what’s going on around him and now he thinks twice before spending one naira.

“Now I think twice before spending one naira. I used to be a sports car enthusiast, now I’m an SUV guy. I just bought a 2021 Lexus 520 and when I wanted to get it, I knew I wouldn’t drive it. All my cars are sports cars; I’m not a big car kind of guy but now I have to be one.”

Evangelist Funmilayo stated that after their wedding, her husband, who was once her boyfriend, was shocked with the discovery on their wedding night despite sharing bedroom experience before then.

According to her , it took her husband over 30 minutes to penetrate, and till date they have a hard time when they want to have a romp.

Mummy G O preached that all it takes to be a virgin again is to redirect one’s path to Christ and all other things shall become new again.

“I prayed for it and he answered me and I am not joking he can do it for you again,” she preached.

Identified as Ihechi Mary Ebe, the woman proved she lost her chastity on her wedding night, as she addresses ‘doubting Thomases’.

She also called out her ex-lover who tried forcing himself on her in confirmation of her claims of being pure.

“And for you who doubted my virginity and needed a confirmation first before you believe, na mumu dey worry you, a real man believed it without attempting to confirm it and he patiently waited for four years, now, he has got it in its fullness,” she said .

“You the rapist lover who attempted to take it by force, God should punish you and you never succeeded, a real man waited for four years, now he has got it and made it his customised size,” she added.

She revealed though it was painful, she gave in because her husband deserved it.

She said she feels fulfilled, having stuck to her ‘no sex until marriage’ principle.

Accompanying the post was proof of her virginity; a blood stained bedsheet and tiles.

Pastor reveals why virginity covenant is dangerous! https://www.adomonline.com/pastor-reveals-why-virginity-covenant-is-dangerous/ Tue, 26 May 2020 16:52:31 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=1800594 General Overseer of Teteatenpong Prayer and Herbal Centre, Apostle Addo-Agyekum, says virginity covenant is the most dangerous covenant affecting men from staying married to their partners.

Apostle Addo-Agyekum, speaking on Asempa FM’s YEASETENA MU, said lots of men may be having problems in their marriage because they broke a lady’s virginity and abandoned them to marry another.

“When this happens, it may lead one to engage in extra marital affairs because there is an establishment of covenant between a woman and a man during sexual activity, especially when one of them or both partners are virgins.

READ:

“It is the most dangerous covenant ever established during the activity of sex where both partners are found naked signifying they have nothing to hide,” he said.

He said the blood flow during the first sexual intercourse establishes a strong covenant between the two people for the rest of their lives.

“People say a lot of things during sexual activity and those words must also be taken seriously because there is equally an establishment of covenant which backs words spoken during every sexual activity.

“A man may suffer a lot of consequences of promises they could not keep and are forced to continuously endure challenges they never expected in their marriages for fear of divorce stigma,” he cautioned.

Girl plans to auction her virginity to pay her parents’ mortgage https://www.adomonline.com/girl-plans-to-auction-her-virginity-to-pay-her-parents-mortgage/ Mon, 19 Nov 2018 08:53:12 +0000 http://35.232.176.128/ghana-news/?p=1493591 A teenage girl is auctioning off her virginity to pay her parents’ mortgage and also sponsor herself through university.

The 18-year-old from Sydney set up the website using the pseudonym Siena Payton shortly after birthday last month. She hopes to raise close to $100,000 to offset the bill.

So far she has received two bids, one for £570 ($1,000 AUS) and one for £5,709 ($10,000 AUS), but she hopes to raise more, The Sun UK reports.

She said:

“That’s not my goal amount. I’m hoping for $100,000.”

Payton said she got the idea after seeing news stories online about supposed “virginity auctions” where some young women claimed to have made millions of dollars.

She said:

“I’ve been thinking about it for a long time and I thought I would give it a go.

“I thought it’s best to do it now, later on, I might meet someone and I don’t want to have to wait for my first time because I’m still waiting to sell my virginity.”

Payton, who hopes to study IT at the University of Technology Sydney, said it wasn’t a big deal to her and she sees it as an opportunity to get financial help.

She said:

“I just need some quick financial help and I think it’ll give me a good boost to help pay for uni fees, I know you have to buy a lot of textbooks.

“Also a car and I can help my parents pay off their mortgage and pay bills.”

She said she had applied on the website but the process was “very tedious and long” so she pulled out, which she now realised was a “good decision as something could’ve gone wrong”.

She reached out to another woman for advice, a 22-year-old student from Brazil who told media in August she was auctioning her virginity for £740,000 ($1.3million AUS).

Payton said she didn’t want to ask her parents, who are originally from South America, for any financial help and would “probably” never tell them.

I broke my virginity a day to my wedding because… – Stephanie Benson https://www.adomonline.com/broke-virginity-day-wedding-stephanie-benson/ Wed, 17 May 2017 10:55:28 +0000 http://35.232.176.128/ghana-news/?p=123331 People in relationships have been generally advised to abstain from sex till they are married. Some have used religious books, like the Bible, to back their argument.

Singer, Stephanie Benson, a devoted Catholic, seems to have tried to adhere to the rule only to break it at the 11th hour.

The free-spirited singer revealed that she and her fiancé, John, now her husband, agreed to refrain from sex but changed their mind a day to the wedding.

Making the revelation in an interview on Behind the Fame on Drive Time on Joy FM with Lexis Bill, Stephanie Benson said she considered several factors before agreeing to have sex with John.

According to her, she opted for the eve of the wedding “because I just thought that the whole anticipation of waiting on the wedding night because I know [he] will be drunk, whether you will be able to get it up, you don’t know, so I just thought that let’s just do it the day before…”

Stephanie and John married in 1989 and they have been blessed with five children. Their ages range from 27 to 16 years.
