In a letter dated September 22, 2026, and addressed to the Chairman of the NPP National Elections Committee, the campaign team expressed concern about what it described as reports of unauthorised adjustments, deletions and possible additions to the TESCON voter register.

The team said any manipulation of the electoral album could undermine confidence in the internal election and called for the process to be conducted in accordance with the party’s guidelines and constitution.

“The Boakye Agyarko Campaign Team wishes to state unequivocally that we shall reject any attempt, scheme, or maneuver by any entity to manipulate the electoral album to favour specific interests,” the letter stated.

The campaign team is asking the National Elections Committee to immediately halt any ongoing revisions or unilateral updates to the TESCON membership list that are not based on agreed party guidelines.

It also called for the publication of what it described as the authentic and verified electoral album to allow candidates and other stakeholders to scrutinise the list and ensure that only qualified TESCON members participate in the election.

The team warned that it would “vehemently resist and protest” any attempts to manipulate the electoral process or undermine what it described as the democratic mandate of party members.

It urged the National Elections Committee to act swiftly to address the concerns and safeguard what it described as the peace, unity and internal democratic traditions of the NPP.

Boakye Agyarko is one of four candidates contesting the NPP National Chairmanship position in the October 3 elections. He occupies the fourth position on the ballot paper, following John Boadu, Sammy Crabbe and Paul Afoko.
