The young girl drowned in a swimming pool at the Tonyx Hotel near Aberewa Nkwanta in Koforidua on Sunday while at the hotel with her five siblings under the care of their father.

Details surrounding the incident remain unclear. Reports indicate that the girl did not participate in swimming activities but was instead taking pictures with other children by the poolside.

Tragically, she was discovered at the bottom of the pool when a search party was organized after the family realized she was missing as they prepared to leave.

Meanwhile, the management of the hotel has pledged to assist the police in their investigations and is expected to address the media regarding the incident.

It comes after a woman who was thrown out of an open-air pool for sunbathing topless took legal action.

A second woman said she was told to cover up while at an indoor pool in December.

Authorities agreed they had been victims of discrimination and said that all visitors to Berlin’s pools were now entitled to go topless.

The decision will be welcomed by those here who champion what’s known as Freikörperkultur – free body culture.

Foreign visitors to Germany are often surprised – and sometimes downright disconcerted – by the sight of naked Germans frolicking in its lakes, snoring in its parks, or sweating in its saunas.

But this is a country which considers public nudity in some settings to be both appropriate and healthy.

The issue of whether, and to what degree, that is permissible at municipal swimming pools has plagued many a local authority.

Last summer, Göttingen in Lower Saxony and Siegen in North Rhine Westphalia allowed women to swim topless.

Berlin’s swimming pool operator, the Berliner Bäderbetriebe (BBB), has not actually changed its rules, which insist that a bathing costume covers the genitals.

The BBB merely clarified that this applies to every visitor, irrespective of their gender.

The incident occurred on Sunday, 17 April 2022, during a family gathering as part of the Easter festivities.

This was at a time, the boy, a class 3 pupil’s mother went to purchase a towel for him.

He, however, jumped into the pool, joining his other siblings in his mother’s absence.

He drowned after jumping into the pool.

All efforts to resuscitate him failed as he died shortly.  

The couple who have been married for two years were spotted at a beach resort having the time of their lives while posing for the camera.

In series of posts they made on social media, John Paintsil proved he was still in his elements, as he skillfully kicked his football about before joining his wife, whom he affectionately calls Queen P.

They were captured playing swimming pool basketball which ended in a 16:0 score in favour of Mr Paintsil.

The match turned into a romantic session when Mrs Paintsill planted a kiss on her husband’s forehead.

Fans of both lovers have hailed them, with many confessing their envy.

In the video, the Shatta Movement boss, had three seats around a table at the shallow part of the pool as his chef served him with his food.

This comes up a day after the dancehall musician took to social media to brag about having money than most of the musicians in Ghana.

According to him, he comes from a rich family but decided to be a street champion to become who he is, hence he hates comparison.

The unidentified woman, who was walking her two dogs, appeared to be asking a group of pool party-goers to turn down their music.

As she approaches the group of people, who are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, a woman is heard in the background yelling: ‘Throw her in!’A man then pops up in front of her and picks her up as they both fall to the ground.

It’s unclear if the man accidentally slipped and fell with the woman in his arms or if his intention was to body slam her.

However, he quickly got up and grabbed the woman by her shirt and one of her legs and hurled her into the swimming pool, falling in the pool himself.
Her two dogs were also dragged along on their leashes, but managed to make a run for it before he threw their owner into the pool. The revelers can be heard in the background laughing and yelling in disbelief.

After the man threw the woman in the swimming pool, panicked party-goers are filmed running away from the scene.

It’s unclear if the woman was hurt in the incident and it’s also unknown when and where the incident took place.
