Apart from being the talk of the town when Cardi B arrived in Ghana for the choice of her wardrobe in 2019, Efia was barely covering her chest at Kwesi Arthur’s Son of Jacob album launch in 2022.

Her cleavage and boobs could clearly be noticed as she flaunted herself at the event that had many stars present such as Kind Promise, MzVee and Ova Wise among others.

It was obvious the actress and influencer became the centre of attention as she flaunted the black-laced see-through dress.

Prior to her showing up at the venue, Efia Odo paid herself a sweet compliment, irrespective of talks trying to discard her. “I’m looking too good tonight,” she said.

The record had been in the works for nearly three years now until the rapper took to his social media handles to make the announcement earlier this month.

It is a 15-track album with features ranging from Adekunle Gold, NSG, Bigg Homie Flee among other acts.

Already-released singles ‘Baajo’ ft. Joeboy, ‘Winning’ ft. Vic Mensa and ‘Celebrate’ ft. Teni also made the cut to complete the GroundUp signee’s final body of work.

The project’s title is a reference to God’s mercies, Jacob’s 12 sons, the tribulations and victory of Joseph who is embodied in the protagonist – Kwesi in this instance.

Creator of the album’s cover, Koby Martin explained the rationale behind the work and the process in the ecosystem that led to the creation of this doorway to the album.

“We’re seeing those different phases of life through Kwesi’s eyes or through these individuals. Everyone can relate to what is going on in the cover.”

Production on the songs were credited to Yung D3mz, MOGBeatz, RayF, Juiczxxx, Team Salut, 4Play, Uche B and Boye ‘The Genius’.

Finally, we have a date for the release of one of Ghana’s most anticipated albums – Son of Jacob.

The rapper took to his social media handles, Monday evening, to announce that the long-awaited album Son of Jacob will be released on April 22, 2022.

The announcement was accompanied by an animated video depicting Kwesi Arthur seated on a hill, and in his possession, a Holy Book, as he is seen meditating.

As birds chirp and fly in the sky, two voices are heard simultaneously – one singing in the Twi language, while the other (performed by UK spoken artiste, Suli Breaks) recites words in English – both based on Isaiah 40:31, “they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength”.

The news has been met with lots of excitement from fans on Twitter.

According to him, part of the reason for keeping a low profile in the music scene this year is to work on his upcoming project for his fans.

The ‘Woara’ hitmaker said he will take over the music industry with his upcoming ‘Son Of Jacob’ album in 2022.

“I enjoyed myself, and the people did as well, so it was a good job done. I have been working on a project for a while, so I have not been out there because of that. 2022 is the season; we will be everywhere. So 2021 was a great year,” he told Joy Entertainment’s Becky.

Kwesi Arthur explained that he had some lows during 2021, which has taught him incredible lessons.

With Covid-19 cases rising, the rapper urged his fans to care for themselves during the festive season.

“Beginning of the year, I had a couple of lows because I was going through personal issues, and that has taught me so much, but I am stronger now. I am grateful for life, my family.

“Thanks to everyone who has been supporting the movement. Take care of yourself because this season, things get crazy, so take care of yourself. We need you alive,” he added.
